Gabe's stats

At Gabe's 1 year check up which was a few weeks late... he was

22 lbs, 14 ozs
31 3/4 inches

Dr. Whitehead says he's got his daddy's legs with height being in the 95 percentile and weight in the 50th... I actually thought the weight would be more, he is solid!
Great checkup but I HATE shots... it's horrible the way he looks at me, like "help me" and I can't... Oh well, at least the tylenol seems to help!

Jayce went to the Dentist and the First Day of School!

Wow, is Jayce seeming big these days! He went to the dentist for the first time a few weeks ago, I have been slack in posting... We had the BEST experience! He did so great! He saw a dentist in town who Jay golfs with and he had actually already met before on the greens with Jay... so this helped... And, the dentist has a little boy he says really looks like Jayce, curly hair and all, so I kind of think he treated him extra special! The hygenist was wonderful too and so good with Kids... It's Paul Davis if you are in town by the way! Jayce hopped right up in the chair and let them do all their stuff, cleaning teeth and all without a flinch! I was so proud of him!

Also, School started yesterday... boo hoo hoo... He is doing the 5 1/2 day program at our church's school... He absolutely loved it the first day... It was so quiet here and Gabe and I hardly knew what to do without his "bubby" but I will say that once Gabe went down for a nap, it was unreal what I was able to accomplish and then we were both so ready to see Jayce at noon! Jayce hopped in the car with a big smile on his face and the first stop sign we got to, he said, "Look mommy, it's an octagon! You'd better stop!" Wow, first day! I think I'm gonna like this place!

I do have dentist pictures which I will post soon, but did not get any of him on his first day... how sad is that... We all woke up late and I didn't have time...
By the way, Jay told me last night I had to set the alarm b/c it was embarrassing to be late for school... I said, oh, I bet Jayce didn't even notice.. he said no, not for him! For me! I thought this was so funny that he cared!

This cute picture of Jayce was taken by Christina again of course! She took some of him out at Nanny and Grandaddy's the other day for us doing some of his favorite things! It was so easy to get him to smile while riding his bike, golfing and fishing!

So, Jayce has been saying some pretty darn cute stuff lately... Here are a few of his favorites...

He calls me "sweet heart mommy"... I will say, Jayce do you want some milk for example, and he'll reply "sure thing sweet heart mommy!"

He loves to say "thank you ma'am" when I hand him something... this is straight from his daddy I know!

He loves to say "it's my pleasure mommy" and the funniest thing is WHEN he will say it... it's usually So out of context that it's hillarious... For example, I was pottying at the gym the other day with him in the bathroom and he cut the lights out on me (which by the way might be the MOST annoying habit he has these days)... but when I said, Jayce, turn those lights back on now! He said, "but it was my pleasure mommy to turn them off..." How could I not then laugh??? I think he knows this...

He called me "angel lips"... I think he's been watching James Bond or something...(actually he picked that up from his cousin Ellie who he adores)

He is a funny little fella these days!

Early Morning Happy Birthday Gabe!

With each of Jayce's birthdays, I come get him first thing in the morning with video camera in hand to sing happy birthday... It's kind of a tradition around here so we followed of course with Gabe and he quite liked us singing to him! It was as if he KNEW it was his special day! I'm not sure that I would have been in such a good mood if someone got me out of a bed with a video camera first thing in the morning! He's such a good sport!

here is the "Gabe Crawl" one day before his bday.. I have named it after him because I believe it must be truly unique... never seen one like it before!
