School

So, School is going fairly well over all... We have definitely transitioned into a far more structured atmosphere than the gym nursery or mother's morning out, and we have gone from 2 days a week to 5... Initially, we had a few problems with Jayce understanding he was not allowed to do certain things at school that he might be able to do at home... those of you boy moms will probably relate to this example...girl moms, you will probably breath a sigh of relief you have girls... but we'll compare stories again in the teen years :).... at least that's why Jay tells me I don't need a girl, after my teenage years... I'm rambling... ANYHOW, Jayce has this habit of growling, he is obsessed with animals and loves to try to become one himself... he loves to growl like a lion... So, most of the time, when he does this to people (such as nanny or mimi) they will laugh at him... not so with Mrs. Rogers... We touched base the other day after Jayce told on himself for going to time out and I found out the reason was because he was growling at her... I am on the phone, nodding my head, yep, the boy does growl and I probably have let him get away with this animal behavior too long...so it is partially my fault... I have to admit that I understand why he was put in time out for this at school... she has a class full of children who are watching her response and of course she does not want a class full of wild animals... BUT, it's just one of those things we are having to learn that USED to be cute and funny and NO LONGER IS.. So, he now knows, no growling at school...

Other than losing this privilege, he has really seemed to enjoy school and is up and ready to go nearly each morning, I've only had to coax him a few mornings when he was SUPER tired... He is also begging to go to bed about 8, which is kind of nice! He has already learned so much and is so proud of himself when he walks out to the car with a stamp on his hands... most days that is... every day except for the growling day!
