Family Vacation

So we just got back from our family vacation in Hilton Head and we had the BEST time! We actually made it the WHOLE week, Jay had bet me we'd only last 3 nights... but the boys were on their best behavior, and all went so well! We all played hard and slept well! Jayce even took a nap every day, which he had not done in quite some time... but that sun wore him out! Gabe cut 2 teeth while we were there, but still slept well at night, so it was not bad at all...

We went out to eat 3 nights and the boys did great! Our favorite place we ate, or at least Jayce's favorite was at Hudson's, where he got to see the "clown man" (who was actually a clown lady)... I made the mistake of mentioning that there was a clown there last time we had been 2 years ago to Jay, and the whole way there, Jayce asked when we would get to see the clown and where clown man lived... I was SO relieved to see the same old "clown man" still sitting where she was 2 years ago when we arrived... She asked Jayce if he's like an ice cream cone or a puppy dog or a snake drawn on his hand, and when I suggested a cute little ice cream cone, he said, no, I WANT A SNAKE! So, that's what the boy got, it was cute I must say, if a snake can be such...

The pool was our favorite spot this year... we headed to the beach the first few days... but Gabe was eating the sand the whole time and Jayce was throwing it everywhere and we just decided the pool was easier with them at this age... Each one had a float, but Jayce of course spent most of the time in Gabe's baby crab float... He did practice with his swimmies and by the end of the week would jump off the edge of the pool to Jay... this was a big step, as he was scared of the water all the sudden at the beginning of the summer... we will be taking swim lessons soon hopefully!

Anyhow, I have LOTS of pics to post from our trip... I never got a great one of them both at the same time, or the perfect family picture I'd dreamed of getting on the beach.. in fact we got no family pictures... but hopefully next year if will be a little easier to get everyone to smile at once... MAYBE????
